The chief wine auctioneer, Michael Broadbent, from London's Christie's is also conducting wine auctions in the Rhinegau region.
At his very first appearance, he succeeded in securing the fabulous price of $2,200 for a bottle of 1945 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling. 500 enthusiastic visitors enthusiastically applauded his masterly performance.
