The 2014 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling (Gelblack Feinherb) shows intense and ripe Riesling aromas along with the flinty quartzite flavor of the Schloss Johannisberger terroir. Full-flavored, piquant and crisp on the palate, this is a medium-bodied and characterful Riesling; it is an authentic representative of the modern Schloss Johannisberg era. Bottled with 13 grams of residual sugar, this is a dry-styled Riesling with a good and stimulating length. The brilliantly yellow-colored 2014 Schloss Johannisberger Gelblack Riesling Trocken has an intense bouquet with crisp Riesling, aromatic lemon and flinty mineral flavors -- a combination that reflects the Schloss Johannisberger terroir impressively. Full and round on the palate, with the slightly corrected acidity only acting up towards the finish and giving a nice structure. The finish is pure, fruity, round, elegant and really gastronomic. No need to wait enjoy this wine. Importer(s): Mionetto, USA, 55 Washington St, Suite 657 , Brooklyn, NY 11201, (718) 596-3339 , www.mionettousa.com

Intense and almost creamy on the well balanced nose starts the 2014 Schloss Johannisberger Riesling SpÃtlese GrÃnlack, which reflects rather on the SpÃtlese style than the terroir at least at this early moment. On the palate, however, this sweet and juicy wine reveals the elegance, finesse, vitality and mineral vibrancy that is so typical for the Schloss Johannisberger terroir. The finish is long, piquant, salty and respectively gets drier and drier. This is another excellent Schloss Johannisberger made from super ripe, mostly healthy grapes. 2014 Schloss Johannisberg Schloss Johannisberger Rosalack Riesling Auslese

The 2014 Schloss Johannisberger Rosalack Riesling Auslese is the highest predicate of the vintage of which no Beerenauslese, no Trockenbeerenauslese nor Eiswein has been bottled. Picked between October 16 to 18 as one of the latest wines of the vintage, this wine shows a rich, intense quince aroma intermixed with stony flavors on the nose. Filigreed, well balanced and very elegant, this sweet but also piquant Riesling has a deliciously pure and salty finish that lifts the wine almost into celestial heights. There is a remarkable finesse and purity here, and the wine is so stimulating that you should consider buying a case of it since there are not many, if any, better 2014 Auslese Rieslings from this difficult vintage. The brilliantly colored 2014 Schloss Johannisberger Rotlack Riesling Kabinett Feinherb reveals ripe, golden-colored Riesling aroma intertwined with flint stone and brown grape pips flavors. Medium-bodied, very juicy and fruity on the palate, this is a fresh, finesse-full and very elegant Riesling with just a hint of sweetness (18.2 grams per liter); it has a piquant and stony finish. Quite complex and with a very god aging potential. Importer(s): Mionetto, USA, 55 Washington St, Suite 657 , Brooklyn, NY 11201, (718) 596-3339 , www.mionettousa.com

The 2014 Schloss Johannisberger Rotlack Riesling Kabinett Trocken has an expressively herbal, spicy and flinty/stony bouquet of ripe white fruits. Really deep but also stimulating on the nose! Bottled with 11.2% alcohol and the highest dry extract of the whole 2014 range, this is an intense, piquant, very mineral, and straight forwarded Riesling of great expression and length. An intriguingly dry, elegant and persistent Riesling with great terroir expression. Highly recommended. 2014 Schloss Johannisberg Schloss Johannisberger Silberlack Riesling GG

A Riesling Dry White Table wine from Germany , , , Rheingau, Germany,

Review by

eRobertParker.com # , #222 (Dec 2015)

Rating: 93

Drink 2019 - 2034

Cost: $0

Sourced from the south and southwest facing middle part of the grand cru, the 2014 Schloss Johannisberger Silberlack Riesling GG was fermented in between three months with natural yeasts in 1,200-liter oak barrels. The wine offers a nobly intense, deep and spicy bouquet of peanuts, lemons, flint stones, smoky quartzite and aristocratic Riesling flavors. Full-bodied, intense and piquant on the palate, this is a rich but finesse-full and very elegant, superbly structured Riesling cru with a long, tension-filled finish. The phenolic structure is really remarkable and a result of the 24 hours of skin contact on the press. This wine should be aged for another 4-5 years, but can age well for another 20 years. An excellent wine with great complexity and elegance. Importer(s): Mionetto, USA, 55 Washington St, Suite 657 , Brooklyn, NY 11201, (718) 596-3339 , www.mionettousa.com
